MURATARA – Banjir yang melanda Desa Sosokan pertengahan Januari lalu telah meluluh lantakkan fasilitas umum, kantor desa, rumah ibadah, lahan pertanian serta rumah warga.
Luapan Sungai Rawas menyebabkan terjangan banjir melanda Desa Sosokan, Kecamatan Ulu Rawas tersebut, hingga mengakibatkan kerugian diperkirakan mencapai miliaran rupiah.
Seperti terputusnya jembatan penghubung desa, kemudian ada 60 rumah warga terdampak banjir dengan satu unit rumah mengalami rusak berat, sudah cukup membuat penduduk Sosokan menderita.
Salah seorang warga setempat melaporkan ke media ini, Senin (22/01/2024), Kantor Desa Sosokan rusak, begitu juga dengan masjid ambruk diterjang derasnya arus banjir.
“Dam penahan tebing Desa Sosokan ambruk lantaran tak kuasa menahan derasnya arus sungai. MCK masjid hanyut, Pamsimas Desa Sosokan terputus,” ujarnya.
Bukan itu saja, lanjutnya. Kolam ikan milik warga ikut terendam banjir, belasan hektar sawah juga gagal panen.
“Sangat disayangkan, Kantor Desa sebenarnya dibangun tahun 2023 lalu, nampaknya belum selesai sudah rusak diterjang air.
Kantor desa yang termasuk berada di pulau itu, sebelumnya, pernah diterjang banjir juga hingga rusak.
Namun tahun lalu masih dibangun disitu, padahal tempatnya rawan terkena banjir karena posisinya agak ketengah sungai dan diapit juga sungai kecil,” sesalnya.
Padahal, menurutnya tidak sedikit biaya pembangunan kantor desa itu, kisaran Rp 400an juta.
“Seandainya dibangun bukan ditempat yang rawan banjir, mungkin tidak akan rusak parah seperti itu,” tutupnya. | *
