LUBUKLINGGAU – Serikat Media Siber Indonesia (SMSI) Provinsi Sumatera Selatan (Sumsel) melakukan konsolidasi ke Kota Lubuklinggau, Jum’at (01/12/2023), di Dewinda Hotel Lubuklinggau.
Ketua SMSI Sumsel, Jon Heri mengatakan, kedatangannya ini untuk membentuk kepengurusan baru untuk SMSI Lubuklinggau, SMSI Musi Rawas dan SMSI Muratara.
“Sebenarnya kekuatan kita ada pada penulisan berita dan persebaran berita di internet. Tanpa itu, tak ada artinya organisasi ini,” kata Jon Heri.
Dia mengatakan, dari pemberitaan itu sendiri sangat berpengaruh dalam membentuk opini bahkan dapat mempengaruhi kebijakan publik.
“Oleh karena itu, saya berharap rekan-rekan yang ditunjuk sebagai pengurus ditiga wilayah ini dapat bekerja dengan baik demi memajukan organisasi dan bersinergi dengan pemerintah,” katanya.
Diketahui, SMSI merupakan gabungan organisasi para pengusaha media. Bertujuan untuk menghimpun dan memberdayakan pengusaha media yang menaungi media-media, khususnya media online. | *
